First Edition, Inscribed by the author. 2 fold-out maps, 167 pp. The author of this book was a member of the Second Company, Richmond Howitzers, and participated in all of the principal engagements of the Army of Northern Virginia from Seven Pines through Fredericksburg, after which he was promoted to Sergeant Major of the First Regiment of Engineers, and was active in fortifying Petersburg, enabling Lee to hold out for so long against an enemy 4 or 5 times his number. Fine in Decorated Cloth Mylar.
